BETTER DEAD THAN RED
I love watching the dead from the early 80s SIMPLY because Phil totally rocks out to all the songs. Watch him on Dead Ahead or from the Rockpalast 1981-03-28 show (where this clip comes from). It's awesome. You can tell he's having a blast.
I never got a chance to see them alive. I was 6 when Jerry died, so it really makes me happy to see all these videos on Youtube. Long live the good ole' Grateful Dead!
god bless you
met the beautiful Jerry outside the stagedoor of the Rainbow theatre in london back in early 80's~ a very special man with a heart full of love~they played 2 sets of 4 nights=8 nights~ and with the Grace of God i was at them all
