@papaskip I suppose you've done much better with your life, eh? Easy to criticize someone else. STFU

  2. papaskip says:

@JR: Dr. Johnson pointed out this elementary fallacy of logic several hundred years ago: “You don’t have to be a carpenter to notice that a table isn’t level.” oh, and don't forget his “Attack is the reaction. I never think I have hit hard unless it rebounds.”

@horwitch Bobby's still alive, can we give him credit for being great, AND alive? R.I.P. Jerry, no doubt he'll be missed, but let's cherich Weir while we have him...

So gateful to have been there

  5. 60458 says:

RIP Jerry August 9, 1995 To the world you are one, to the music world you will never be matched. You were taken from us way too young.

The Grateful Dead are so true to the idea of "music for the people." They wrote great songs, they covered great songs, etc. I like how they treated songs as sounds for us all. They didn't worry about things like "oh, that's a just a cover." If they dug a song, they did it. If they wrote it, that's cool. If not, no problem. It's all music! That's the spirit!!!

  7. TheClassicMusicMan says:

@papaskip WHAT? Did you write this on April Fool's Day? Or are You Just A Big FOOL? Jerry Garcia Was A Legend and is STILL Missed by sooo many people.... If you think This Solo is Amature" Than im Shure What you listened to, Must Have Came From Jesus Himself

  8. papaskip says:

@TheClassicMusicMan I’m sure Jerry had his moments, or he wouldn’t have inspired such devotion in his fans. Having said that, however, I find far more passion and musical inspiration in Jimi, Eddy Van Halen, and Randy Rhoads. For an example of this, listen to Randy’s solo at the end of ‘Tonight’, specifically at 4 minutes 16 seconds into the song. Perhaps one of Jerry’s fans can direct me to a similar spot. I’d be happy to check it out.

  9. TheClassicMusicMan says:

@papaskip Jerry Was Jerry Not Vann Halen Or Jimi He Was Jerry Garcia. Dont compare them That Is Like Comparing Grateful Dead to Phish. Its Something you Dont Do. In These Years His Solos Were good But He Was Dieing Fast. in the 80;s He Was in A Grateful Year. im sure if you were dieing you would Play Nothing Like This

  10. TheClassicMusicMan says:

@papaskip Jerry always played 100% In the *0's He Went into a Diabetic coma For Several Months He Forgot How To Play The Guitar and Then He RE-Teached Himself! Now you talk about " Listen To Van Halen, Ye ok Sure Halen can Play guitar 100 mph. But Garcia Played So Strangley if i should Say He Play all different kinds of runs and riffs that Just are for A second Or Even Minuets. If you think that van Halen is better, Than why The Fuck are you even here assHole

  11. scarletfire67 says:

@chiz904 Whoa wait a minute as I recall there are four remaining and NEVER leave out PHIL who is now 71 years young and still dropping bombs at every show.

  12. AceNightCreeper says:

Jerry doing the high notes on this just makes me grin ear to ear

  13. tractorkid223 says:
