Mississippi Half-Step Part 1 (Grateful Dead) Video Clips

Grateful Dead - Mississippi Halfstep

Grateful Dead performing "Mississippi Half-Step" on 4/26/77. Had to cut the video in half due to the time limit. Video ends before one of Jerry's solos and the 'Rio Grande' vocal jam.

Check out 6-9-77 show opener for the best Half-Step. Hell, listen to the whole show while you are at it. It will do your soul good.

Great Half-step ...btw... I'm raising awareness about the Chinese Communist Party persecution of 70 million Falun Gong spiritual practitioners going on for 10 years in China. They are put in slave-labor camps, forced to make stuff sold here. A 2009 UN report said vital organs are even taken from them and sold on the black market. Falun Gong practitioners are peaceful, not terrorists. China is where all the jobs are going, remember? The media doesn't cover it. It must stop. Thanks.

Englishtown half-step is a beaut for sure. Nice n easy, playful, weir with some unreal fills. How the hell did they ever get so good? Boggles the mind.

I've been to 70 shows and own hundreds of bootlegs. And I say: Not only is Englishtown '77 the best Half-Step ever, it may be my favorite live version of ANY song I've ever heard them play. Trancendant, masterful version, with some incredibly sweet licks and an incredible climax.

I have a dead vinyl. A live recording its in a lime green plain case with a stamp of a pig with a cigar on it and it says "seal of quality" i know its early because pig pen is still with them, they open with sugar magnolia...and i cant for the life of me find out WHERE it was recorded
