Grateful Dead - Althea (Tribute By Von Cello) Clip

Grateful Dead - Althea

A great acoustic cover version with cello, guitar, keys and drums. Watch in high quality! The images are of concerts and recording sessions involving the performers as well as psychedelic artwork and images of introspective women. This is a tribute to the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia who wrote this song that is so beloved by the Von Cello Band. This video is also educational in that it shows how the cello can fit seamlessly into the music of the Grateful Dead, something that Von Cello has been doing since he was a teenager. "Dead Cello" is an arrangement by Aaron Minsky (Von Cello) of four Grateful Dead classics published by Latham Music. On this song we have: Von Cello - cello and guitar Mark Paradis - vocals and guitar Scott Guberman - keyboards Marc Jaffee - drums Other musicians appearing in the video only: Gloria Carpenter - vocalist Johnny Chang - drummer Perry Siegel - guitarist (as a teen in the schoolyard photo with Von Cello) The images were supplied by google image searches.
