This is awesome, he's playing this song really really well for a guy who's worn out and dying.

@choo2blue T'was there too and had many of the same reactions. They seemed to play "The Last Time" at every show I saw and I all I could think was "Yeah, I KNOW!"

I was there for both shows and had Captain America back stage passes for Saturday night! That was the night the lightning struck. We parked right there the Friday and we were late thanks to the rain. Talked to the medics when we arrived shortly after.
Saw Jerry backstage before they went on. They were wheeling him out in a golf cart. His eyes sparkled but you could tell his body had seen it's day. I think he new his day was near. He went out living the life he knew and loved.

  8. johnvernon07 says:

There's no doubt he lived several lifetimes while he was here!

I believe that this was about two months before he died. One of my creative heroes to date (2011). Thanks for the musical and high contributions. Much Love! Joe

This was a good show and if I remember correctly it was on this night that Jerry played tighter and cleaner than some of the other shows on this disaster tour.

My heart aches everyday since Jerry died, life as I know it will never be the same, thanks for all the great memories Jerry, R.I.P. my brother

Just got into the Dead that summer (through a girl). She had a ticket waiting for me with some friends(my first show). When we arrived, they had given the ticket away. I had no idea at the time how that moment would come to haunt me. AHHH!

Oh, well - I just wasn't born early enough to really enjoy the glory years. At least we have it all on captured of the ages.... :(

My 2nd and last Dead show (previous was at USAIR Arena in Oct 94). Hard to believe this was 16 years ago. Seems like yesterday. I was 16 at the time, almost 33 now. I went with my dad and had great seats.

I was there too and saw the kid get hit by lightening...trippy experience! I was on Jerry's side, and was the closest I'd ever be to him. Shroomies were good that night! :) I met some VERY kind friends that tour, little did I know a couple months later we'd be grieving together. RIP Jer Bear

I thought video of the two RFK '95 shows (my FIRST two shows) did not circulate, and here I'm finding at least some songs :) Bring 'em on! Thank you! Throw in some more Pittsburgh '95 too (my last show). Cheers!
