How did you get an hour and a half on youtube? But this is one hell of a show, Jerry was really feelin it! I'm a 16 year old deadhead who misses Big Jerry G everyday!
i have looked everywhere and can not buy a copy or cd,etc. this is some awesome rare asx ship! all i can find is the ending to winterland 1978 which i have no doubts is not half as good as right here.. all the pieces fell in place on this day in time. God Bless the Grateful Dead.. i know i do
It's a treat to hear and see this tape of the first Dead show I saw "because I watched" a Jerry video awhile ago. My girlfriend and I must have been the youngest ones there. Turn it up, because this show was astonishingly loud! They started the bike in the rafters; the exhaust pipe must have been miked because it was like living inside a jet engine. I remember Scarlet Begonias as a highlight--Donna Jean and all still sound just great.
great quality!
thank you!!! thank you!!! absolutely love it. (hey gav, now only 8,670 WTH!!!!!!!)
I was at this show. Little did I know that I was on the threshold of rock and roll history.
Fabulous show! Happy New Year's:) Great sound quality considering the age.
